Free · Mac with an Apple chip (M1 or later) · Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)

Everything for your course, in one place

Connect your university once. StarShip keeps everything up to date for you.

📅

Timetable and deadlines

From Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, Brightspace, Tabula or any calendar link. Deadlines disappear once their day is over.

📂

Course materials

Every slide and PDF your lecturers upload, sorted by course. One click downloads and opens it.

🎙️

Lecture recordings

Import a voice memo or a video from your phone: it becomes text on your Mac, never uploaded. (Mac only for now.)

✦

AI summaries

Claude turns a lecture into a clear summary with key points, definitions and diagrams, plus flashcards.

🧠

Spaced revision

Review your flashcards a little every day. Cards you know come back less often.

📝

Your notes, sorted

Bring in notes from Wispr Flow, Notion, Obsidian, Granola, Otter and more, sorted by course automatically.

How to install

It takes a minute. The extra step is because StarShip is new and not yet certified by Apple or Microsoft.

On a Mac

  1. Download StarShip-Mac.zip and double-click it to unzip.
  2. Drag StarShip into your Applications folder.
  3. Open StarShip. macOS says it could not verify it: click Done.
  4. Open System Settings › Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to StarShip, then confirm.
  5. From now on, StarShip opens normally.

Needs a Mac with an Apple chip (M1 or later). Importing recordings needs macOS 26 or later.

On Windows

  1. Download StarShip-Windows.zip.
  2. Right-click it, choose Extract All…, and put the folder in your Documents.
  3. Open the folder and double-click StarShip.exe.
  4. If Windows says it protected your PC, click More info, then Run anyway.

Tip: right-click StarShip.exe › Show more options › Send to › Desktop to get a shortcut.
